Circa 1916 JH 269cc
Priced at SOLD. This bike was first registered on the 19th of February 1921, but was undoubtedly made earlier. James Haworth, formely general manager at Bradbury & Co. Ltd. Oldham, set up his own business J. H. Motorcycles in Oldham around 1913, remaining in business for only a few short years, records seem to indicate motorcycle production finished about 1916, possibly due to the war (see VMCC letter below). Therefore this is a rather unique motorcycle, we have certainly never seen one before. Powered by a Villiers 269cc two stroke engine, she started readily & completed a ½ mile yard test with not problems. Has a photocopy 1915 JH catalogue (courtesy of the VMCC library) & some other history related paperwork. Comes with a current DVLA V5C registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax & is MOT exempt
